This is the first Venetian gown Noelle and I attempted. We changed a few things, mostly due to my preferences. It is mostly based on the 1535 "Portrait of a Lady" by Moretto da Brecia, with elements of a couple of others included as the whim took us. Noelle is an amazing seamstress: she can take the most sewing-ignorant babbling and turn it into something I'm thrilled to wear!
Here are a couple of pictures of my corrected lacing. This method works really well to keep the ladder lacing very even! I don't have any pictures of me wearing this dress with it's corrected lacing, but you can see it on my green Venetian here.
